WordPress is an open-source website creation platform and popular content management system developed by using PHP and MySQL. 

 

Although it can also use SQLite, MySQL and MariaDB database are more often used.

 WordPress is basically based on the template(themes) system, so it is very easy to use. The plugins also extends its functionality. However, it is launch for blogging first but now it’s using for everything.

 Even WordPress covers 33.6% of 10 million online websites as of April 2019.

 We can say that WordPress is a build unit of websites.

It can develop any kind of website. It can support millions of pre-built themes which provide us with well-designed web pages. Themes allow admin to play with awesome design and functionality without diving into actual code.

 WordPress provide very easy way to create websites and add any type of function from the only admin area only.
